Pros

If you’re looking for a tent that’s going to keep you completely dry no matter what’s going on around you then this is definitely it. You get specially made, water repellent fabrics that ensure the water beads up and rolls right off quickly and easily. Not only that but the seams are all entirely sealed and all seals, including the doors and windows, are entirely rain-resistant.

If you’re concerned about getting a little too warm through the night then you’ll definitely be glad for the mesh windows and ceiling that are part of the advanced venting system.

CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent floor features an adjustable air intake vent that helps you get more cool air from the ground and release it through the mesh ceiling and windows. That way you get plenty of breezes all the way through. It’s going to ensure you feel great and any breeze that does come through will be felt in the tent.

As far as extras are concerned, this tent gives you plenty of space for all of your stuff because it has a gear loft, lantern hook and wall organizer pouch that will help you keep track of absolutely everything you need or want for the weekend (or longer) that you’re going to be out on your trip.

With the 11’ x 9’ footprint you also get plenty of privacy from the panels on the doors and windows and plenty of room for everyone that comes along with you for the ride.

Getting your tent up quickly is also going to be an extremely important aspect and with this tent you’re not going to have a problem with that because it goes up within 60 seconds because of the attached poles. All you have to do is unpack it and extend the poles and you’re going to be ready for absolutely anything, which is definitely a benefit.

Cons

Some reviewers have found that this tent can be a little difficult to pack back into the case, but for most people getting it put up and torn down, even as a single person, is quite simple. The only problem seems to be that some do not notice the zipper at the bottom of the case which can expand it slightly and make the packing process much easier.

Some have also found that the door zipper can get caught on the flaps that keep out rain and other moisture. The best thing to do is use both hands to keep the flaps out of the way and zip up the door at the same time. This way it’s much easier to ensure that the zipper doesn’t get stuck and that the flaps are pulled firmly over to keep out the rain and make sure you don’t have any leaks.

Verdict

Overall, this tent definitely seems to be a good choice for most people. It has a lot of great features including a large amount of space for up to 6 people. You also get plenty of protection from rain and a unit that is very easy to put up quickly, even when you’re doing it by yourself. It’s also important to note all of the extras like the gear rack and organizer plus all the height.

The only drawbacks seem to be relatively simple to fix and with attention to the process you can easily enough make sure that you have everything you need to get around them.

Comparison

One comparison for CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent is the Coleman Instant Cabin Tent which has a similar footprint at 10’ x 9’ on the inside. This tent is extremely easy to put together and goes up in less than one minute. It’s also designed with WeatherTec welded floors and inverted seams.

On the other side, it is slightly smaller and comes in at a higher price tag, not to mention you don’t get a rainfly in the standard kit and need to upgrade to even more expensive in order to get that important piece that comes with the CORE.

Coming in slightly smaller is the Semoo Waterproof 4-5 Person tent which features 2 doors and an over 5’9” height  which allows you to easily stand. It’s sized at about 8’ x 8’, which allows for a decent amount of people and has 2 doors, which are definitely a benefit. The downside is it’s a decent amount smaller than the CORE and it’s more expensive at the same time.
